The opportunities afforded to me by Sound City and their training were invaluable to me at the time. Besides offering a first taste and early experience of the industry, it provided me with a confidence that can’t be gained any other way. That was a confidence and a set of skills that have taken with me throughout a career up to the present day and I will always look back and say that my time working with Dave, Becky and their team was what ignited the spark for me in terms of progressing my career in music. I would implore more music businesses, especially outside of London, to look at what Sound City has been offering young people for the last 10 years and try and so the same so that we can continue to have a diverse and readily-equipped pool of young talent in the music industry
