BERTIE

Saturday
Singing Jewish songs with his family around the shabbat table from as early as he can remember, Bertie became the boy soprano in his synagogue aged just 6. He was classically trained on piano and cello growing up and at 14, after a girl he fancied kissed a boy who played the guitar, he decided to pick it up. Emma never did kiss him, but he did start writing songs.

After gaining a first class degree from Oxford University, he went to work in a very proper and very stable finance job that made him very unhappy. So, at the end of 2021, he quit to pursue his dream.

Bertie had a whirlwind 2022. He released 6 songs, had over 55,000 streams, played a headline show at Robbie Scotts, gained a place in the Roundhouse Music Collective, and won the Yamaha Music UK Ambassador Competition.

He kicked off an electric 2023 in style with a sold out 180 capacity headline show at The Old Queen's Head.
