Delights
On their debut album, Manchester’s Delights are stepping into an electrifying new world of sound. Their first full-length record introduces a wide sonic palette that reflects their collective tastes through an appreciation of legacy and their hometown forebears, with vibrant nods to funk, soul, disco, psychedelia, classic rock, and stadium-sized indie-pop.
Over the last few years, the five-piece completed by bassist Ben Kirkland, singer Adam Maxwell and percussionist Cameron Stephenson – have slowly been carving out a reputation via hard gigging and a series of early releases, from the breezy, sunkissed indie-pop of 2021’s ‘In My Life’ EP to the infectious, lush grooves of 2022 mini-album ‘Cool Sports’. What began as a group of mates playing music together has evolved into something more – a band with real ambition and the tunes to match.
