Influenced and inspired by the likes of Bloc Party, Dominic Fike, Radiohead and The Strokes, Mudi Sama is a British - born, Nigeria - raised artist with a sound steeped in alternative culture. Forming his musical identity during a time when very few black voices cut through a predominantly white early 00’s guitar scene, genre trailblazers like Kele Okereke and Dev Hynes galvanised him to become that inspiration for aspiring artists of his own time. Mudi channels a distinctly British tone of voice with a glo bally ambitious alternative sound, joining the likes of his London peers Bakar and Master Peace to shape the new identity of British indie for the next generation.
