White Flowers
Delivering a swooning 21st century update of dream pop, industrial electronica and post-rock that
builds on the legacy of their Northern England roots, White Flowers is Joey Cobb and Katie Drew.
Having left the North to attend art school in London, the pair returned to Preston following their
graduation and have since found themselves an artistic base in an old Victorian textile mill. Between
here and a greenhouse in the middle of the Northern countryside, the pair have been working away
in isolation preparing for their highly anticipated sophomore LP, as well as continuing to delve into
their other artistic endeavours such as design and ceramics. Having recently invited Ali Chant and
Matthew Peel into the studio, the band have been pushing themselves outside of their previous
shoegaze sphere to work on creating a record that spans a multitude of textures and genres.
Selective about the shows in which they take, the band are looking to grow on what has been a
whirlwind 12 months or so. Having been personally invited by Beach House on the entirety of their
European and UK tour, hit the road with Just Mustard, sold out multiple physical runs of both their
debut LP and EP and gained great support from the likes of Radio 6, MOJO, CLASH and many more,
the Preston based duo have built a cult like following for their intricately crafted sound and
aesthetic. And the band has only grown on this since. Whilst this year they’ve been away in the
studio, they have put on a string of very select but all sold out headline dates across the UK which
has led to the pair continuing to craft a name for themselves in the live scene.
