As a mixed race woman I like to include elements of my identity in aspects of my work, both in and outside of university. I am currently working releasing the second issue of my own zine, Tear It Down, which celebrates people of colour in rock and metal. As part of this project I have conducted interviews with music professionals and musicians. I currently write for the music blog, Turn It Up Louder, where I work with a fantastic team to create reviews, opinions, and new pieces. As well as this, I previously worked for local publications where I have gained experience within a functioning magazine, and covered a variety of topics. In my free time I enjoy finding opportunities ti develop different skills, such as completing the Google Garage course on digital marketing, as well as binge watching a Netflix show or two. Recently I have been enjoying watching documentaries about black and/or LGBTQ+ histories, as these are stories that I haven't previously been exposed to.
